How to wash hair in space? Answer is here.

It's pretty hard to have a shower in zero gravity. Water doesn't fall down as it would on Earth but rather scatters into weightless blobs.

So how do astronauts aboard the International Space Station - many of whom are there for six-month or even one-year stretches - wash their hair?

Karen Nyberg, who was on the ISS back in 2013, created a video to show the process.

She uses a sealed bag of warm water, no-rinse shampoo, a towel and a comb.

The water has to be carefully spreaded over her scalp and then run through her hair.  She then applies no-rinse shampoo, which she rubs in with a towel.
